You can BREATHBETTER!

Don't just rely on medications and breathing machines, here are other options to help you breath better.

There are many causes of breathing problems. Many are associated with wrong breathing patterns and abnormal usage of the musculoskeletal systemand mental and physical stress Societal pressure of keeping a thin belly, the habit of tucking in the belly, and "stick your chest out" causes less usage of the diaphragm and abdominal muscles, limited breathing capacity, and tightness in the abdomen. Many start having problems in their 20's and getting worse as aging progresses. Problems arise: shallow breath, shortness of breath, rib pain, limited rib cage mobility, back pain, stomach pain, limited organ functions, digestive problems, bowel and bladder problems including constipation, diarrhea, incontinence.

COPD

For smokers and some non-smokers,Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, is the number one debilitating problem associated with breathing capacity, muscle fatigue, tightness and pain. Breathing becomes shallow and fast. Overtime, the patient's breathing musculatures including the chest, neck, jaw, back, shoulders, rib cage tighten, causing even more difficulty breathing and inability to obtain more oxygenation to the blood.

Asthma

In Children and adults, this recurrent problem also causes tightness in the neck, back, jaw, shoulders, chest, and rib cage.

Repeated sneezing or coughing from asthma, COPD, pneumonia, common colds, flu, all cause problems with tightness in the chest muscles, neck, shoulders, rib cage, and even urinary and bowel incontinence – See also PELVICEXPERT.com for more information about incontinence.

Typical medical treatment includes lots of medications and then progressing to a breathing machine. Some physicians do not realize the benefit of hands on work and the skills of physical therapists in diagnosing and treating breathing problems.
